Dir. Ang Lee, US, 2009, 121 mins.
Cast. Demetri Martin, Imelda Staunton, Eugene Levy, Henry Goodman.

Demetri Martin stars as Elliot, the son of an elderly Jewish couple (Goodman and a fantastic Imelda Staunton) whose motel business is going down the pan. Elliot hears that an old friend is trying to stage a music festival so he offers his neighbour’s field as a venue. The film is about the build up to the festival rather than the festival itself and its ripple-effect on the quiet community’s members. A sweet, charming and easy-going film which is suffused with the peace and love of the times.
