The film that broke box office records this year is back. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll very probably sing along. This is the unashamedly feel-good flick based on the smash hit West End musical about Donna (Streep), a single mother who owns a restaurant on a Greek island. Her daughter is about to get married and wants to know who her real father is so she has invited the three men from her mother’s past who might just hold the answer to her question. With a plot that is as light as air, Abba tunes a-plenty and performances that fizz with energy and an infectious enthusiasm, it’s impossible not to emerge from the cinema, beaming with joy. We know it’s not Christmassy, but it’s impossible to resist.
